I would like to acknowledge the tremendous support that has been shown to the Western Suburbs Magpies throughout the year.
It has been a turbulent time for the Magpies throughout 2012 but our hard work to get back on track has certainly paid dividends, we are playing in the 2013 final series.
I would like to ask all supporters to continue barracking for the Magpies but also ask that restraint is shown to ensure we are not seen as being overzealous in our comments towards opposition players or supporters.
Leo Epifania and Steve Reeves have built the current team from scratch and have installed a culture of respect, hard work and Club spirit, values we all support.
I am sure I speak for all staff and players in thanking you for your support, but we also hope your support does not involve any unruly behaviour from the sidelines. We play the game tough, but encourage fair play, on and off the field. We know you are proud of the Magpies so please conduct yourself in ways that brings credit on our Club.
Finally, please remember that many young boys and girls, the future of our Club, are at thegames. We want positive role models, not the opposite.
