The Western Suburbs Magpies are 106 years old today. About to commence their 107th season, Wests are one of 6 remaining Foundation Clubs. They were established on the 4th of February 1908 during a meeting at Ashfields Town Hall.
Wests won 4 first grade premierships in 1930, 1934, 1948 and 1952. After forming the Wests Tigers with fellow foundation club the Balmain Tigers, the joint venture took out the 2005 NRL premiership.
In 2014 the Magpies will enter teams in Harold Matthews, S.G. Ball and the Ron Massey Cup.
