'A MOMENT TO REMEMBER' FOR CHRIS LAWRENCE

Chris Lawrence says it was an incredible honour to lead Wests Tigers out in his 100th game for the Club at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday.

The Australian Test centre had a solid game in the 17-16 golden point win. Lawrence became the 13th player to reach the 100 games milestone for Wests Tigers since the Club’s inaugural season in 2000.
“To be able to lead the boys out onto Leichhardt Oval in front of 20,000 fans was pretty special and a moment I will always remember,’’ Lawrence said.

“It was a good feeling to rip through the banner and then look up to the hill to see a sea of Wests Tigers colours and everyone cheering for us. It does get you revved up. “
Following the match, Lawrence was presented with a medallion by Head Coach Tim Sheens acknowledging the milestone.

Meanwhile, lock Chris Heighington is just 4 games away from surpassing the record of most first grade games of 185 matches set by former premiership winning prop John Skandalis.
Back-rower Liam Fulton is 6 games away from entering the top 10 list for most first grade games, surpassing Mark O’Neill. Fulton has played 116 matches.
